“This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.” (John 2:11)
Jesus did lots of miraculous things. He cast out demons. Healed people. In this case, he turned water into wine.
All of his miracles had a purpose. They weren’t done just to do something wondrous. They were meant to show who Jesus was. They were signs. Like all signs, they pointed to something else: the identity of Jesus.
When you read about Jesus’ miracles, let those signs point you to the Savior.
