Great is our Lord. He is worthy of all praise. His name and his name alone is holy. He is to be worshiped by all people everywhere.
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, … (Acts 3:19)
If you need to turn your life to God, then do it now. Repent. Live differently. It will bring you joy, peace, and hope. It will be refreshing.
We lack perspective. We can’t see the forest for the trees. Our vision is limited, and our knowledge is finite.
God knows all. Aren’t we better off trusting in his ways than in our own?
And David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel and had exalted his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel. (II Samuel 5:12)
Two lessons for all leaders: your leadership power comes from God and it is to be used for the good of God’s Kingdom and for his people.
“But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.” (Galatians 4:4-5)
The time was right. The plan was perfect. God sent his Son to save us and all who believe in Him. Now we can call ourselves sons of God!
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem… (Matthew 2:1)
Many of you have celebrated the birth of Jesus over the past few weeks. But what about after his birth. Baby Jesus grew up to die for our sins and he calls you to believe in him and to follow him.
“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” (Psalm 143:8)
We wait. We wait for the Lord’s deliverance. We wait for the Lord’s promise.
Tomorrow is the day when many remember the birth of our Lord.
But for now, we wait. “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love…”
Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will swallow them up. Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.” (Numbers 14:9)
When you forget that the Lord is with you, it is easy to be governed by fear. And that leads to rebellion against the Lord.
“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.” (Daniel 12:3)
One day all will be revealed. We will plainly see who has been faithful to God, who has done what is right, who has led others to God.
On that day, these righteous ones will stand out, will be honored, will shine like the brightest lights in the sky.
Jesus, the light of this world, came into the world so that we too could shine. Give your life to God and let him shine his light through you.
Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” (Joshua 3:5)
Dedicate yourself to being God’s person. Expect great things from God. Let him work to do amazing things in the life of you and your family.
