He also made the pots and shovels and sprinkling bowls. So Huram finished the work he had undertaken for King Solomon in the temple of God: (II Chrionicles 4:11)

Huram is a great man of faith that most of us do not remember.  He did his part.  He made many of the objects that went into the temple.  You have work to do for the Kingdom.  Do it faithfully and you too will be one of God’s heroes.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6–7)

What worries you? Give it to God. Put it in his hands.

What scares you? Give it to God. Let him handle it.

What keeps you up at night? Let go of it. Give it to God.

He will take those frightening worries and give you in exchange a very special peace, one that no one can understand but everyone wants to have.

For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. (Matthew 15:19

Sin is first and foremost a heart issue, not just a behavioral issue.  Check that your heart is where it should be.

No one is truly wise who doesn’t respect God. Unless you honor him as Lord, you will go astray in the end.

How could Peter possibly be asleep when he is in jail and very likely to be executed?  It must be because of his faith in God and Jesus.  He knew they would deliver him from the jail cell… or from the grave.  Faith no matter what.

Are you able to accept criticism? I don’t mean the mean-spirited personal attacks. I mean constructive criticism, where someone who cares points out an area in which you can improve?

The Bible tells us that there is great value in a timely rebuke; be open to correction from godly people.

Samson had betrayed his vow to God and lost his power.  Yet even in his failure, God continued to work in his life.  God is never thru using you if you still believe.

“He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.” (Isaiah 11:3–4)

We get frustrated as we watch human judicial systems that fail time and again. Innocent people go unprotected, while the guilty too often go free.

One day, all judgement will be in the hands of God. He will judge rightly, not according to faulty human testimony, but through the perception of the omniscient Creator. Justice will be done. All things will be put right.

Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him. (John 11:38)

This is what it all comes down to:  do you believe in Jesus.  If you do, you will worship him.

The President isn’t going to fix your problems. Neither is your mother. Nor your preacher. Nor any other human being.

Only God can fix things forever. Trust in him and him alone.
