Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time. (Daniel 11P35)

Even the very wisest among us need developing.  God is the source of all wisdom.  Never assume any man is always right.  Including you.

The wife’s body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband’s body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. (I Corinthians 7:4)

A man and woman marry and become one.  In every sense of the word.  Their bodies belong to themselves and to their mate.  So if you are married, respect you body.  Both of them.

“David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them. “I cannot go in these,” he said to Saul, “because I am not used to them.” So he took them off.” (1 Samuel 17:39)

What works for you may not work for someone else. Don’t try to force everyone to do things your way. And especially be sure to leave room for God to act!

“Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy.” (Proverbs 14:10)

We can never fully understand someone’s pain nor completely grasp their happiness. That’s why we should avoid judging others. Only God really knows what is going on with them. He is to be the judge.

Use all your strength

A young boy was helping his father gather firewood. The boy attempted to hoist a log far too heavy and toppled to the ground. He tried time and again to lift the log, only to fail each time.

“I can’t do it, Dad,” the boy complained.

“That’s because you’re not using all your strength,” his father replied.

To prove his father wrong, the young lad gave one last mighty pull on the log. This time his father lifted the boy (and the log) high into the air, helping to place the log on the stack of wood.

“You weren’t using all your strength,” the dad explained. “You didn’t ask me for help.”

There are things in life that are far too big for us. Too many times, we try to tackle these problems by ourselves, falling on our faces like the young boy with the log.

What we really need to do is to learn to depend on God, to seek His help, to let Him fight our battles?

“‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.”
(Zechariah 4:6)

It’s not about “let go and let God.” It’s about letting God take our strength and multiply to be more than enough for any task.

Use all your strength. Including the help that God wants to give you.

“O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” (Psalms 8:9)

Our God has done wondrous things. He created everything that we see and all that we can’t see. His name is worthy of praise.

“Set up the tabernacle according to the plan shown you on the mountain. (Exodus 26:30)

Chapters 26 and 27 of Exodus have detailed instructions for the tabernacle.  Why is God so detailed and picky about the details.  I don’t understand why.  And of course, I do not have to understand it.  Probably would not if God were to explain it.  That is why He is God and I am not.  So, like Moses, I obey.  Because God is God.  And I am not.

“But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!” (1 Kings 8:27)

God can’t be contained by any one place. God fills the whole earth. You don’t have to go anywhere special to find Him; just reach out and He’ll be there.
